We're very excited to announce that we will be joining the 2018 Flash Foxy Women’s Climbing Festival in Bishop, California, March 23 to 25, 2018.
Come meet us at the 3RD ROCK booth at the Women's Climbing Festival in the Tri County Fairgrounds in Bishop, CA on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 8 am - 1 pm. The booths are open to the public.
'The Women's Climbing Festival aims to bring together and celebrate the amazing community of women climbers.'
We will be participating in a brand demo where Flash Foxy Women's Climbing Festival participants can try on and wear 3RD ROCK organic and recycled climbing clothing the whole day at the crag or while participating in their workshops. Our demo items will then be offered as a discount to participants. It's your chance to try on real rock and buy in real life! The festival will also be open to the public, so if you've been wanting to try on some kit, come by from 8 am - 1 pm on Saturday March 24th.
A relatively new festival, this is the third Flash Foxy Women's Climbing Festival since it's beginnings a few years ago, but continues to sell out tickets within just a few minutes of launching sales. The festival was started by Flash Foxy creator Shelma Jun.
'Flash Foxy began as an on-line platform in 2014 to celebrate women climbing with women and to be a place where women could come to feel inspired by and connected to each other.' -Flash Foxy website
The festival is aimed at experienced climbers as well as beginners and offers climbing workshops with athletes such as Emily Harrington, Olivia Hsu, Kate Rutherford, Miranda Oakley, Madaleine Sorkin and more. The athletes, guides and facilitators are made up of an all-women team.
Not just connecting badass women with other badass women, the festival also focuses on involving local businesses in order to give back to the local community surrounding Bishop, as well as raise money for the Access Fund.
